Cable (Protection) Engineering
Our Engineers have an enviable track record of providing simple & reliable cable protection solutions with DNV-GL design certification on all independent components of its systems. Known for its no nonsense logical approach to designing solutions to its clients problems, optimising systems to such extent that the cable protection systems will last for min. 25 years and max. 55 years at a conservative safety factor. The solutions come with complete design certification by DNV-GL for unrestricted offshore use with proven diver-less retrievals and no additional stabilisation requirements after installation.
Our engineers have a leading position for the technical execution of our projects. They are responsible for following the outline method statements as detailed in the procedures during the execution of a project. The cable installation engineer acts as a focal point for all engineering related questions and Management of Change when required, prepares all technical changes in the project documentation and ensures all engineering disciplines are actively supporting the projects. Typically the following activities are undertaken:
Responsible that the outline method statements based on contract requirements and MOVE standards, are followed during the execution.
Prepare detailed method statements for any deviation in the work scope(s). Participate in risk assessments and incorporate all findings in the method statements used during execution such as (but not limited to):
- Act as focal point for all engineering disciplines;
- Attend and assist operational crew during project mobilisation and execution.
- Collate all as-built data and prepare final as-built documentation for project close out purposes.
